Giveaway & Product Review - DVD: Winnie the Pooh "A Valentine For You" Special Edition!

Knowing how quickly the holidays come and go, it is a good idea to be one step ahead of the game. This week I am hosting a GIVEAWAY for (1) copy of Disney's Winnie the Pooh "A Valentine For You" Special Edition DVD. This will make the perfect Valentine's Day gift for a special child in your life!

I just finished watching the Winnie the Pooh "A Valentine For You" Special Edition DVD with my kids. It was a very special experience for me, because I have loved "Pooh Bear" since I was 5 years old. Watching this lovely DVD with my children transported me back to my childhood days. I felt happy, and surprisingly de-stressed (even though it is Christmas Eve tomorrow and I have not wrapped one single present)! ;-)

The Winnie the Pooh "A Valentine For You" Special Edition DVD is nearly an hour long, and chock full of sweet, family-friendly viewing. The story selections include: "A Valentine For You", "Un-Valentine's Day", "The Three Little Piglets", "My Hero" (new to DVD!). There is even an interactive game on this adorable DVD entitled "Catch the Love Bug"; kids will have a chance to catch flying love bugs that are flying in the Hundred Acre Wood. Young children can play this fun game with ease!

The Winnie the Pooh "A Valentine For You" Special Edition DVD will be released on January 5, 2010, and in addition to the Three Winnie the Pooh Stories and interactive game, 6 Pooh-themed Valentines Day Cards are included as a fun bonus!

Here are descriptions of the story lines in this heart warming DVD:

"In Un-Valentines Day, it's that warm and wonderful time when Pooh and his pals like to show how much they care. But Rabbit wants to cancel Valentine's Day because last year, he was up to his ears in the flood of cards that littered the Hundred Acre Wood. Reluctantly, everyone agrees -- until someone anonymously sends Pooh a pot of honey. Suddenly, the Valentine rush is again out of control, much to the delight of all -- including Rabbit."

"In A Valentine for You, Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Rabbit see Christopher Robin making a valentine for a girl and find he's been bitten by a "Smitten" and is lovesick. Worried that he'll no longer have time for them, and hoping a second bite from the love bug will cure him, they set out on a wild adventure to capture the Smitten."

"My Hero is a new-to-DVD adventure that shows the lesson of two friends truly helping each other. When Piglet saves Tigger’s life, Tigger decides to repay the favor by being Piglet’s servant. But Tigger’s new job causes Piglet more harm than good. When Tigger saves Piglet’s life, his obligation to be the servant is erased and all is back to normal."

Three Little Piglets is a fun take on the classic fairytale The Three Little Pigs, starring Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit and Tigger. Watch how they jumble the story up, acting it out with many silly twists and turns.

Product Review - G-Force Movie on Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Combo Pack

My kids, hubby, and I settled in for a family movie night last week. My kids could hardly contain their excitement when I surprised them with a G-Force Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Combo Pack made by Walt Disney Pictures. O.K.... I have to admit that I was excited too! I have been a fan of Walt Disney movies since I was a little girl. Combine that with my love of cute furry guinea pigs, and it is a winning combination from the get-go.G-Force is a family-friendly film that I would recommend to anyone. I can best describe it as a cross between Mission Impossible meets The Wonder Pets. It has everything you could ask for in a movie: action, comedy, music, heart-warming moments, and a great cast!
G-Force stars the voices of: Nicholas Cage (as the Speckles the mole!), Sam Rockwell, Jon Favreau, Penelope Cruz, Steve Buscemi (one of my favorite character actors), & Tracy Morgan. These actors do a fantastic job of adding distinct and amusing personalities to the adorable guinea pigs that compose G-Force.
In the beginning of the movie, you are introduced to the core G-Force team made up of highly trained guinea pigs that are on a mission to save the world. The F.B.I. then proceeds to shut their secret unit down. The adorable guinea pig action heroes include Darwin, the team leader; Blaster, the weapons expert; and Juarez, (the only female in the G-Force) who is both beautiful and a martial arts specialist; and the heart-melting, goofy tag-along Hurley, who wants nothing more than to have a family of his own. These high-tech, hilarious Guinea Pigs have the latest spy equipment, and with the F.B.I. pursuing them, things get exciting as they rush to save the world.

Nicholas Cage's character "Speckles" offers a surprise twist at the end of the movie. Leave it to Nicholas to continue to surprise us with his wide acting range and ability. I couldn't believe that he was the voice of the mole! When I read this in the credits, it actually made me respect his talent even more than I already do. He has a great character voice!
The cuteness factor of this movie simply cannot be denied. I love these furry faced characters as much as my children do. I am certain that we will enjoy G-Force for years to come. Just look at them... completely adorable! :)
One big bonus is the fact that G-Force is available in a Blu-Ray, DVD and a Digital copy, all included in one convenient combo pack. Currently, we don't own a Blu-ray system, but I hope to in the future so this is great to have. We played the DVD, and my son was able to download the digital copy to his ipod. Now the kids can watch it on the ipod on long car trips, or any other time they choose. I love that!

Below are (3) fun G-Force activities that you can copy, enlarge, and print for your children:

I am confident that the G-Force Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Combo Pack would make an exciting holiday gift for any child, or child at heart. There is still time to pick up a copy at your local retailer before Christmas!
